Christmas is almost upon us and with the never ending stream of adverts wherever you turn, it's inevitable that we all end up dreaming of gifts we didn't even know existed a few weeks ago. I would love to hear what's on your wish list but for now, here's mine.
These are a fun way to incorporate fitness into your routine. The perfect stocking filler, each challenge is a sticker and some are harder than others. For example you can do a 25 minute run one day and 60 squats the next (the link above shows more pictures). I'd definitely choose the squats over the run!
I love a good recipe book. I find them inspiring and motivating. This book looks like the perfect start to 2019 addition to my collection. I especially like that SIMPLE stands for the following:
S short on time: less than 30 minutes
I 10 ingredients or less
M make ahead
P pantry
L lazy
E easier than you think
"S" and "L" are my favourites. And he's responsible for these winter slaws, so I don't think I need to add anything further.
Ever had to workout in a hotel gym? Ever tried to find a kettlebell in one of those gyms? Yeah, me too and for they usually don't have them. Obviously, you can still get a good workout in with dumbbells but you can't do your kettlebell swings. And everyone loves a kettlebell swing.
Cue resolver of this little first world problem - the packable converter. Love this invention!
I look forward to the day when I am body confident enough to wear shorts and socks to the gym. I mean, if you CrossFit it's totally acceptable, right? That day will probably never come, but I live in hope and prepare for it anyway with these beauties.
Have you ever hard of a better idea? I don't know about you but I spend far too long sat down in front of a PC, hunched over like some scary villain in a kids story.
It's a bad look and the only thing that has helped with it is strengthening my muscles through strength training. I still have a million miles to go in getting to the point where I am not slouched or hunched by default though and it is something I am aware of as I think about what I would like to change now to benefit myself later on in life.
Obviously, I believe that certain exercises will help but I can't help but think this is a great idea. It attaches to your back and detects when you are slouching and vibrates to let you know!
Ending on my favourite and all I will say about this is no more poor quality iPhone videos. I also believe that it would give me a really good excuse to book a holiday somewhere hot and try water sports, but that's just me. I've been dreaming of one of these for years. One day!
